Please, Point me to the right direction. Does anyone knows any Kayak shops that will let me Demo the Thresher 155? I want to use it for the LRC want to see how well it handles a day of paddling, looking into getting new boat by December and want to test the Thresher. Otherwise I will just bring my  T13. Thanks

Thanks Bill! I would love to but, I need one to use for that day. I want to see how good it handles. I have sciatica and my T13 isnt how it used to be, I love the elevated seat on Thresher hoping it will help on my back problem.

It doesn't really have an elevated seat ... at least mine doesn't. At least not elevated like the new "lawn chair" type of setups you see on other brands.  You can use it for the tourney day if you'd like.  Has a rudder too.  I might even let you use it with the fishfinder  :smt002 :smt003

Bring your regular kayak just in case something happens and I loose mine off the side of Hwy 1 or something on the way up.

No. I will be adding a bunch of cool random items to those bags like long sleeve t's, Scotty gear, neck sleeves, full bottles of pro cure, ect. It should be a great surprise for some of the first 40.  :smt003

So I'm going to be coming in Saturday morning early for the tourney, and not camping at AB. What's the protocol? Drive in, unload, and go park in the overflow up the hill?  Where exactly is the overflow? I'm guessing in the lot across from the businesses up the hill. Or do we prep our kayaks at the overflow and walk down the highway?
Excuse my ignorance. Last year I had a campsite and didn't need to worry about all this.
Thanks in advance!

Last year I stayed in hotel.  I drove down to AB offloaded my gear and then parked up on the hill.  The overflow area was clearly marked.

It's pretty congested down their in the morning so get in early.

Drive into the campground, unload you yak and gear. I'll have someone helping with traffic but park/unload so not to impede traffic from flowing in and out. Drive up to the free lot to park. Walk south through the lot past toward the bench, just past it there is a trail that leads down to the AB main buildings. Bring a headlamp, the trail is dark and unlit. I've told them to put some lighting on it, we'll see. I used glow sticks last year. Pay the $5 launch at the main office, opens at 4:45am and then head to the beach to check-in/ register/ wristband. I'll have coffee and donuts waiting for you. Check in and then head down to chicken cove to launch.
