I don't understand why no manufacturer makes them... We can't be the only weirdos wanting them..

I watched some clips on you tube and they used a solvent to clean the lead and mold release stuff
they used a primer coat...gloss coat...and they used a heat gun and a drying rack...and a powder coat -vibrated jar- to keep uniform application...they used a pin on a stand to clear the swivel eyes while still gooey

I used an cheap torch for heat--- no cleaner or primer--no pin through the eye(hook works later) and my jigs come out rough and some stick better than others...Im lazy...they work fine though and are cheap so my goal is met...
I plan to make a drying stand out of dowels and 2x10 blocks...and a pin on a firm flat surface to poke the swivel hole etc...eventually use a solvent wipe and primer coat...but for now...

the main thing for me is that they REALLY GLOW  and the heated powder paint holds the eyes better than the peel and stick...I bet you could find some bitchen glow spray paint and a sharpie for eyes and do well in shallower water for sure

at night if I go out on my patio where the bench is these will all be glowing

Does "curing" them in the oven smooth them out at all?

curing them doesnt make them smooth. I use a fluid bed for the paint the helps prevent clumps in the paint.
