Funny, I have friends in town for a wedding on Saturday...they wanted to go fishing so I sent this deal to them...they're going out Thursday w/Randys now.
The less-funny part: they live in AZ and never fished the ocean...my wife told them they "don't have to rent gear because they can just borrow Pat's rods & reels & tackle"...to which my first reaction was I'm not gonna loan them my Seekers, Trevalas, Calcuttas & Revos...that's like 2000 dollars worth of gear, woman! But then I realized how pissed my wife would be if she knew how much this stuff costs!!! Cringing inside...I simply nodded my head Yes they can borrow some poles, honey.  :smt005

You guys think this would be a good trip to take my daughters out on?

I don't want no deckhands giving them guilt trips when they get snagged up or nothing...

Thanks in advance!

there were kids on the trips I went on and the cabin seats are for the chicks and kids and old folks..although the outside benches are nice...the boats are not huge and if the weather looks shitty maybe pass...thats the cool things with the coupons..they stay in your pocket until you go...oh make sure to print the ticket..you must have your travelzoo account ticket printed when you get in line...

last thing...the language from the captain was...rough

he was aware that there was little old ladies and and kids on the boat..and did apologize...the parents did not seem to mind ,but I was aware of the loud/foul words..and it made me feel bad fro granny and the kids

Thanks Craig!

Yeah, bad language doesn't bother me...as long as it's not directed at my family.  :smt002

Cool, I'll talk it over with the wife...been having tons of fun taking them on the yak every weekend, but would be cool to focus just on fishing/catching for a day too, just to mix it up.

If you're thinking about doing this, I'd book a trip with ya!  My 10 year old daughter REALLY wants to go fishing.  I think she would LOVE it!  Great way to get an introduction to it with little hassle.  I'm in!

I was thinking of trying to get some of my crew to book the same day in nov...keep you posted..we could mutiny the ting

there are two boats at 'randy's' you can request which you want..unless they have one on the crab deal only each day and thats the trip you seek...the coupon for a rockfish day is the same $ right now and is a shorter day i think...
boat 1
the Sur Randy..colorful  great captain..rough on the edges

the Chubasco...great captain super nice deck hand(my neighbor) and his dog--which has the run of the deck and barks at every fish that comes aboard
