I love supporting local businesses when I can but I need a better deal. I'm paying $2+ for each 6.5" Big Hammer swim bait and between $1.50-$2.50 (depending on size) for a jig head. One lingcod can destroy a swim bait no problem and snags are a common occurrence fishing reefs so it can get expensive quick. Does anyone have a tried and true website to get quality swim baits and jig heads at a good price? Do I have to buy in bulk or can I keep it small? Or is the price difference negligible and I should keep buying my tackle in town?

Thank you!

You should buy a jig head mold so you can pour it yourself. It's worth the investment. As for swimbait, not so sure where you can buy them cheaper. I always buy mine in bulk when I'm in outdoor pro. Sometimes I make molds for swimbait and pour my used, messed up swimbaits, plastic, etc.

i usually get my big hammers from tacklewarehouse.com when they have their 15% sale. it's around $1.5 each for a 6.5"  i buy in bulk

i buy my jigheads from this guy on ebay. they're great quality and cheap! 4oz jighead for $1.30. i buy in bulk

Wow, that ebay deal is great. I might have to buy in bulk.
Thanks

Pouring my own sounds fun! Where do I buy a mold? Sounds like I found my next project to learn from youtube!

I have never found one single place that has everything I need. Even my Hammer swimbaits come from 3 different sources to get the colors and sizes and jig heads I want.

I can only reliably get frozen bait and lead weights from the 3 local tackle shops in my area so everything else I usually buy online and most of my sources are on the east coast in New Jersey.

I was just at bayside marine and they were about a buck a piece cheaper on some of my reef donating favorites and they did have decent selection of med to larg big hammer paddle tails..no sledgehammer sized ones but they had halloween and white/pearl in 6.5 it looked to be....not a bad deal..I got a good size handful of weights and jig heads and rigs and tails for 40 bucks....not a bad deal and one stop shop type place...
