Wormguy, my favorite fish now down here is the white bass. Never in my life have I ever had a fish fight so darn hard when hooked; especially on ultralite gear and in a stream to boot. I only keep the larger ones and they can get upto 15-17 inches. They spawn in early spring and Texas has a 25 fish limit. There are several streams near my place that look like nothing and they head on up those.

Need to head up to Texoma too and hit stripers and even wit those the limit is 10 a day with only 2 over 26 inches. Somedays you can't limit because you can't get the small once so all you are doing is catching and releasing 8-15 pound fish all day. Kind of sucks and it hurts you.

The only thing I miss about kayaking in California is the closeness to the ocean I used to have, crabbing and rockfishing, and now since I left, those damn chromer's are close enough to hit outside HMB :smt013

I have a large screen tent for keeping bugs out.  Great for flies during the day and mosquitoes at night.  I would guess maybe 6 could sleep in this to keep bugs off them and still enjoy sleeping 'outdoors'.
I have a generator and a couple folding tables and two director chairs.  I'll bring my RV that has a fridge and small freezer in it too.  It can hold lots of meat for days.  I have at least one extra sleeping bag too.
