I have seen a youtube of a guy in Aus. that put in a "captians chair" Looked like a Jackson seat in his AI. Cool thing was this gave him storage under the seat (much needed) and for me being 6'6' would give me more leg room as I think it could be placed further back than the molded seat. Curious if anyone has seen this done or has any ideas or input.  Your feedback is always appreciated.

Sounds like it's worth checking to see if it would fit. I bet you could talk Big Jim into letting you use his seat to check. And he lives pretty close to you :-)
I know the new 2015 AI's are going to have a fancy new seat...so it might've been a video of a newer AI.

I don't know how it would fit in a hobie but I have a folding stadium seat that I have plans of modifying to fit into my tarpon. It will take a little bit of cutting and welding to the seat frame but should make a super comfy seat and still set pretty low. If I ever get around to doing it I will try to put up some pics

Thanks for that Jim. I'll hit you up in a couple of months when fishing winds down and winter maintenance begins.
