Also does anyone know how the cell service is at the campgrounds in the area?

I have Verizon, no service at Timber Cove for me.

Hi guys,
I'm going up early tomarrow morn 8/30.
I'm  gonna dive, camp, dive and then hit the class.
I only have 40 or so hours in a kayak so I really need the training.
Don't know how to yak fish but wanna learn.
Lots of hours in water.
Totally down with sharing a camp spot if that is an option.
Thank you.

Finally got to a spot with reception.
So the camp ground is kinda full.
The camp host is real nice.
She is putting people almost everywhere.
I've got a spot in the overflow section just to the right side of the entrance.
I'm in a honda accord with a white trident on the top.
Cost $40 to stay until after the class.
No real camp spots left but I told her that traildad would need a spot and she said that would be cool.
An AA group took most of the spots but they seem kinda nice.
See you all in the morn.
Andy

This is at Timber Cove right?

I'll be fishing early then join the class.  I will be bringing fresh albacore sushi and bellies to share....

We processed 1400 pounds of albacore that came off a boat yesterday morning in Eureka. It took five of us 7.5 hours to get it done. Good thing we have access at one of the fish houses in Bodega as their fork lift and chipped ice machine came in real handy...

Guys! Sean Morley is arguably the best paddler on the planet, and one of the best coaches I've ever worked with. People fly from all over the world to go to his symposium in SF. 3hrs 6hrs who cares. It's a free class! If you are on the fence just commit and go. You will be amazed at what you learn. Sean changed kayaking for me. He taught me so much of what I know. I hope as a club we can take advantage of this.

+1
See you guys there :smt006

Great time. I now feel confident about my salt water self rescue skills. It really helps knowing I'll be ok, so I don't have to fear falling in. Thanks again Sean. Had a good day fishing, caught 3 Rockcod. One of then was only big enough to use as bait, so I did. I put it on a Lingcod rig and I caught my first Lingcod. 34 inches and a little over 14lbs. Fantastic!
