My buddy Ron in his red kayak was out off coral st (pacific grove)  last night tue-8/5/14 around dusk, and had left his short yellow handle metal tipped gaff-with black string- in the Ice plant when he loaded and left
I came by to see if he was still out later and saw a yellow kayak out there and Subaru with Montana plates and nor cal sticker parked @ coral
I waved and then saw the yellow gaff in the ice plant- held it up to show the kayak and left by his  back bumper

Talked to my Buddy Ron for a report this morning and he was like " no way that was my trusty homemade gaff"
I did not know and thought maybe the yellow kayak dropped it

anyway Ron says he chatted with the other member otw before he came in,and his name is Paul....

I told Ron I would post and try and see if i can track down his gaff

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

FINDERS KEEPERS :smt044

I left work yesterday and was thinking about hitting the beach for a little perch fishing but when I checked the swell report and saw that it was 1 foot swells at 10 seconds I decided to haul ass over to coral st. and get a couple hours in before dark. Got otw at about 6 and only saw one other kayak on the water. Paddled over and said hello and shot the shat for a bit. Really nice guy, with a really nice yellow gaff I was coveting:smt044 He mentioned that he fished with a guy named Craig quite a bit and based on the description I was pretty sure it was Trianglelaguna. He paddled in before I did and took off. I won't bore you with the details of the fishing because I have become convinced that fish are allergic to me of late  :smt011 I paddled in and noticed a beautiful yellow gaff laying right next to my car. I figured it had to belong to Ron since he was the only other fisherman I saw out there. I was planning on reaching out to you Craig to see if we could get Ron his gaff back. I'll PM you my number to forward to him and hopefully I can get it to him before the weekend...not like he'll need it but...ya know.... :smt044

What REALLY tripped me out was when I got a text from beerhunter inquiring about my "secret fishing adventure last night." Ron was the only soul on planet earth that knew I went out last night  :smt003 Can't keep nothing away from the homies anymore  :smt044

thanks Paul...too bad you were there  :smt002 -I would have kept it...and then Ron would see me with it one day otw and be like WTF Bro.. :smt005...I always scan that ice plant for lost stuff--I left stuff there too

when I saw you out 150 feet away I figured I had better put it by your car....in case you owned it and were watching me  :smt001

I hate when I find stuff and folks are watching me lol

I sent Ron your number---he will be happy to know it was found
THANK YOU!!!!
