Black Widow Spider

Can anyone give me tips how to get rid of a black widow spider and an egg sac? I would rather leave her alone but my 7 year old brother plays in the front yard and I would rather not have a crap ton of black widow babies sharing the same yard.

An aerosol hair spray can.  For 'excitement' add a lighter for the blow torch effect!  (Just don't set the house on fire! 

The hair spray will dry and the spider won't be able to move or even breathe.  Lighting the hair spray first in a safe direction will give you experience on how far a flame that can will throw.  Hint; it will flame a lot further than it will spray hairspray. 

I found 4 big black widows in the wood pile this year. they were huge and had egg sacks the hole deal. I used the toe of my boot to solve my problem. Im sure you can pick up some raid insect- killing- aerosol- spray in spider flavor at the local hardware store.

I would squash the spider but it's holed up in a bush which makes stepping on it a little futile

Just make sure you get her good.  Not cool to have a flaming Black Widow crawling up into the attic from the eves for example. 

+1 on the wasp spray.  It will kill black widows (it usually takes a while, they drop and crawl around like they're drunk and eventually die. I usually step on them once they drop to confirm the kill) I killed 2 tonight hanging around the shed.  5 total on the week!

We Agree. But if he doesn't want to spray the whole yard. Go out at dark and you will find a lot of them hanging from webs.
