Hi everyone  :smt006

I'm from the Sacramento area. I've fished from shore, piers, and boats but new to kayak fishing. I don't have a kayak and gears yet so I'm hoping to learn from this forum on what to get to be ready.

Looking forward to learning and contributing to the forum.

Welcome!  And keep your eyes open for a Sac Crew fish-n-chill.  There a few every year and a great way to meet locals and try out kayaks.  We all love to show off and let guys try out what works for us individuals.

See ya on the water!

It's good to see that there are few people in sac area. I definitely love to learn how to kayak salmon fishing. If you are heading out for salmon fishing please let me know if you feel kind enough to teach a newb. :smt002

I bet the American would be fun in a kayak. I'm all for it.

American is fun for any species.
I target em all in the AR. All year long there is usually something to catch. Very soon will be the trolling and spinner throwing for salmon. Very soon.
