No, just checking with you, not sure if you get up this way or wanted to try and make it for a meeting. Will get together later this month.

As for schedule of event thinking one of these dates, April 18th, 25th, or May 2nd. Have to see when most volunteers are available.

So is everyone still good with that initial number of around a dozen heroes or are we going to shoot for a dog and pony show now that we have a trailer full of kayaks on top of the loaners us volunteers have too? I'm good either way.

I'd like to get a solid date so we have affirmation with the committee at LC. I'm itching to go knock down some doors of local businesses for support. Everyone has been stoked on this project because of the large kayaking community and the respect for vets here. I can smell the success already!

Depends on the location, LC was concerned about numbers so we settled on 10-12 participants plus volunteers, maybe some family, 25-30 people total is what I told them, we will have to keep close track since everyone will have to be on list at security gate.

We can still look for a different location and increase number.

Headwaters told me they have six kayaks available plus possibly a few more if needed and whatever we round up, most of us probably have at least two.

Right now on NCKA calendar there is nothing April 25, May 9,  or May 25. (April 18 is Rollins Lake and May 2nd is MBK).

Either April 25 or May 9th, although the 9th is Mothers Day weekend?????

Hey guys, I've been out of the loop for awhile with work, and it looks like the next big step is to pick a date. If the two dates left available are April 25th and Mother's Day weekend I think the answer is April 25th.

Thanks for the input, let's look at April 25th, but a couple more questions to answer before we set the date.

1. Ben or Bryan from Headwaters, Redding, will you be running one of your kayak fishing clinics on Whiskeytown April 25th? If so. water other dates would the kayaks be available?

2. Do we want to limit to 10-12 or find another place and expand the number of participants?

Thanks,
Bryan

April 25th is also the opener for Trout fishing, many people head out for that, I know my family does a huge
camping trip that weekend.

We have nothing going on with the Headwaters Redding shop April 25th so if you want to make that the date let me know and I can pencil it in. As far as kayaks we have 6 Hobie mirage kayaks along with 18 Eddlyline rental kayaks, plus a few more demo Jackson kayaks, so we have that covered. Just let us know what you guys need and we will do whatever we can to make it happen!

But the 24th is Bens birthday so that might be a problem with him.

I'm touched, you remembered my birthday Bryan!  :smt008

April is going to be a crazy month anyways with First Cast programs on the delta and at Black Butte, might as well burn another chunk of WAF!  The 25th of April sounds good!

Thanks, let's pencil it in on April 25th.

Next question, Lake California or try to find a fishing spot where we could have more participants, family etc. I am fairly new to area but if anyone has ideas contact/info for another site let me know, I will be glad to contact them if needed.
