Hello everyone! I'm new to both the forums and Kayak fishing! I've only been out a few times but the experience has been amazing! :)

I picked up a West Marine Pompano 120 as a starter yak for around 400ish during a sale! Hoping to learn much from everyone! :)

Well, I've only tried HMB for crabs so far this year.  Been trying to get out to the reefs for some rockfish the past few weeks, but stuff keeps coming up.  The Old Pier is a nice place to launch in HMB as the walk is shorter than HMB Kayak, but the parking fills up quickly.  HMB Kayak has more parking available, but watch your step... there are some lazy dog owners that let their dogs crap everywhere on the sand.

HMB is nice if you want to do Combo Fishing, if you want to just fish South of HMB along SMC will be good, WARNING! Landlord is known to be collecting dues from time to time...Not trying to scare you its a fact.

Hmmm, I'll have to check all these places out.

I kind of want to check out some Yak classes - Launching and returning through surf is quite scary :X

Hi, I live in Reno and fish local lakes from my traditional kayak.  My my dream is to catch a salmon from this boat.  I'm eager to learn more about safety and fishing gear.  Also hope to join in fishing events along the California coast.  Thanks for letting me participate.
