Hi, I live in Reno and fish local lakes from my traditional kayak.  My my dream is to catch a salmon from this boat.  I'm eager to learn more about safety and fishing gear.  Also hope to join in fishing events along the California coast.  Thanks for letting me participate.

Welcome! Lot of good people and good info on the site.

Nice kayak, did you build it? Looks lightweight and fast.

Thank you.  Yes I built my boat and it is very good, light, fast.  It's also a little tippy, so I'm working on Eskimo rolls, self rescue and, of course, keeping it upright in tricky conditions.  I'm really looking forward to the event at Albion.  I met some of you guys there last year and felt very welcome and got a lot of good tips.  seee ya soon. and thanks for reply. jeff.

Welcome!!!! As a pretty fresh noon as well I'd suggest checking the forum out for safety type postings. Also practicing self rescue is a must!  See you out there!
