PFD recommendation

I just can't stand wearing my pfd with my new highback seat.

This sucks.

Can people recommend a decent high back pfd that won't break the bank?

just stuff it in your hatch! very comfy that way.

I have been.  However, I want to wear one instead of leaving it under bungees in the back....

Thanks Mooch.  That one looks good, but I think I may go with the mildwater.  Some sites are still selling it.

What was the recall for anyway?  What the heck can go wrong with a PFD?

I forgot what the recall was all about - but they did give out the serial numbers of all the PFD's that was on the recall list - mine was not on that list.

From my research it would seem that some lots did not quite make the minimum flotation level for type3 pfds.

No biggie.

I'm gonna get a mildwater from one of the ruthless sites still selling them.

 Thats anice one from nrs. more bang for your buck even with the couple extra dollars. I like the full nesh back/camel pack.

Yeah, pretty cool, but less storage if that actually matters in a pfd.....

I have a mildwater and love it I would feel safe with especially with the flotation of a wetsuit.
The drawback is it is no longer approved the Coast Guard has been notified and they can write you a citation.
