Hey guys,

Good news - we got Ocean Kayak to donate a new Predator 13 OR their brand new Prowler Big Game Angler II - winner's choice.  How cool is that?   :headbang:

We'll also have other prizes, and all profits go to benefit the Monterey Bay Salmon & Trout Project.  Last year was a blast with good food, lots of stories traded, and fun times had by all.

I'll do my best to have registration up on our website in the next day.  You can also register over the phone at 831-479-1121.  It's gonna be here before you know it.  Please feel free to PM me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.  The 'Roots' fishing derby is for you, let us know what you'd like to see.

Here's hoping the anchovies have left the harbor!              :fishing2

Hey Carl, last year most of the participants launched from the 'hand launch ramp' and I recall that's where the official weigh-in station was located too. I would plan to park and launch there again this year. Parking costs $10/day, I think.
Then after the weigh-in, you can either repark your car closer to KC or simply walk over there (it's on the opposite side of the harbor). Last year I reparked my car and was lucky enough to find a spot on Lake St.
Here's a link to KC's location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kayak+Connection/@36.9666407,-122.0011696,109m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x5040b89cce42e55a

And in the map below, I circled KC in blue and the hand launch ramp in red (also circled the alternate hand launch by Aldo's by the jetty...which is where some people will probably launch to avoid parking fees fyi).

Thanks Pat. I'm going to try to make this one! Any camping options nearby? That's on a Sunday, correct?

Yep, Sunday Sept 7.
Camping options m/b limited because most are reserved 6 months in advance. But...off the top of my head, I would suggest googling New Brighton, Seacliff, Manresa, or Sunset. Best bet would probably be Sunset beach. Or if you want to camp in the redwoods up Hwy 9, there's Henry Cowell or Big Basin.

There's the KOA.  School will be back in progress so they may not be booked.

Thanks fellas. I hate to admit it, but I haven't been to SC since I was in high school.
