Good to see you back home, Bloodbath, we missed you!

Here's a new flyer, the last one didn't quite translate well when downloaded - it looked like an invitation to a tea party for my little girls!  Not exactly the image we're going for...

We're looking forward to seeing everyone!

Is there anyone here with few minutes to kill, that has fished that area/knows the area/and would want to give some intel on launches and parking for newbs to that area...maybe tell us what to look out for etc...

My Buddy Ron and I are going to go up on one of the remaining weekends and do a pre-fish to scout the mechanics of the whole park/launch/landing/fish....any tips would be great
Thanks

Parking can be a little challenge at times but this early in the AM won't be a HUGE problem.  Fishing, like Monterey, RED can (mile buoy) or head north along the beaches in 40-60 FOW.  Depends on what you want to target.  Try tour luck at a Hali or WSB for an "all in" approach or play it safe & go RFG and hope for the best?

thanks...I called the kayak connection after typing my post to get the skinny and was told a few things Ron and i will look into when we do our pre-event recon day

parking all along the street by the kayak connection shop---meeting there for sign in by 6 a.m the day of
parking  there some for the day to stage cars --?permit deal 7-8 bucks for the day or something like that
then launching right out of the harbor

the gal on the phone also mentioned going to the "crows nest" and paying 10 bucks to park and maybe a 10$ launch fee???

whatever...I'll do a recon on both for my own good this weekend or next

fishing is easy...I'm gonna follow you guys...and drop on top of your lines  :smt001 :smt001 :smt001

You could launch by Crows Nest Restraunt at the main launch ramp.  Could be busy with boat traffic.  Parking will be a little more $ wise.  Could also launch off the small boat dock across the harbor by Aldo's & save a few $ but will have to deal with moving for the weigh-in.

One source for the boat reports of fishing is www.baysidemarinesc.com

Winner gets to choose between a Predator and Big Game 2 kayak!

Good news - we got Ocean Kayak to donate a new Predator 13 OR their brand new Prowler Big Game Angler II - winner's choice.  How cool is that?   :headbang:

And for you guys with reading comprehension issues... :smt044  There is lots of good info abut parking on the previous page (page 3 of THIS thread) including a map of harbor parking!!!

thanks I sent this info below and the pic in an e-mail to my friends

thanks much

Hey Carl, last year most of the participants launched from the 'hand launch ramp' and I recall that's where the official weigh-in station was located too. I would plan to park and launch there again this year. Parking costs $10/day, I think.
Then after the weigh-in, you can either repark your car closer to KC or simply walk over there (it's on the opposite side of the harbor). Last year I reparked my car and was lucky enough to find a spot on Lake St.
Here's a link to KC's location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kayak+Connection/@36.9666407,-122.0011696,109m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x5040b89cce42e55a

And in the map below, I circled KC in blue and the hand launch ramp in red (also circled the alternate hand launch by Aldo's by the jetty...which is where some people will probably launch to avoid parking fees fyi).
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.
