So I was out fishing with my dad and bro this past weekend at Capitola. Ed, the guy that helps me out at Capitola Boat and Bait for rentals, pointed out that a Trigger Fish was caught in the area. He mentioned those fish are found mainly down in Mexico in warmer waters. A lot of other fisherman I spoke with that day said that it's a sign tuna are likely going to hit the area very soon. Anybody experience catching rare fish lately?

Check it out:

Apparently my buddy says they get caught quite a bit in So Cal. Also, just because the water is a little warmer right now do you think these small fish will migrate all the way up here to hang out locally? They are always here I would say , just not in big numbers to get caught all the time.

Have heard of a couple shot in Stillwater over last decade.  Maybe lost ones up here with the El Niño other fish (opaleye, calico, sheepshead).
