I would go a little farther up the road to pinecrest. Small lake with a speed limit. So no water skiers. It's loaded with trout a few over six# have been caught this week. You can also rent power boats, paddle boats and kayaks.

If you want a sure thing of putting her on some fish, sonoramike is dead on.

Otherwise, all the others are just a crap shoot.

Around you HMB area NONE! You have to take a drive to get on some really nice Freshwater Fishing grounds. Closer is SPD, then Contra Loma (taken for granted its a small lake but I've caught decent fish) Delta (tide factor, know them)

It all depends...what does your sister look like?  :smt044 :smt005

I'd go to New Melones or Don Pedro for chance at multiple species...bass, trout, crappie, catfish. Then you can just throw out a nightcrawler on one rod while working a lure with your main rod.

Well for me I would choose the delta, but I have been fishing the Delta for about 50 years and I love the place.
