If you think you got game, lets see what you got!

Q'ing has always been a past time love of mine and I take great pride in what comes off my grill. I know that at past events, there have been many others that also share this passion; and I thought it might be fun to have a little contest to see what comes off your grill.

So I am throwing this gaunlet down to see if there are any would-be contenders that think they can "Beat My Grill"; and at the same time, feed our gracious hosts who will be judging the cook-off.

When: Friday, July 18th, 2013 @ 6pm
Where: My Campsite (forgot which one, but I'll find & post)
What:  BBQ Pork, Beef or Chicken
Prize:  T.B.D.

Here's a sample of what your gonna be up against :smt003:

There should be an 'Iron Chef' round complete with a "mysery" item to BBQ.  THAT would be awesome!

Glen,,

If I could get back there with my grill I have in my side yard, you'd be toast!! :smt003 Great idea bro and I sure would have loved to join you. So far down here this Pinoy California boy beat out a bunch of Texans in a brisket cooking contest.

I tell you what, YOU won't beat this Texan in a brisket contest.

If you think you got game, lets see what you got!

:smt003.................... i am IN!!!!  :smt006

-Kiel

I know what you're coming with, I'll be ready.... should be fun! :smt007

I'll tell you what Glen, there should be a crown for the winners, something special to show off to everyone at the rest of the events of the year, then to pass it on to the next winner at Albion.
I have the perfect crown, Joel's Vietnam era mess plate he gave me, signed on the back by Da Mooch. Damn I miss him.

That would be real generous of you Ben and if you are willing to give up such a valued gift, we would be honored. But do you think that would be more fitting of a crown trophy for the "Mooch Memorial Tourney"? Either way, it would be a great aweome! (i'm gonna win it either way anyways! :smt044 :smt044)

Depending on the rules and judges, I'll throw it down with you Glen. Last time you chickened out so you better show this time.  Personally, I think you should make it just ribs and have Craig and Linelle judge.

Scott

Them is some fighting words! :smt003 My BBQ is a whole lote better than my Crab Omelettes! Maybe I should call it the "Put up or Shut up" BBQ Contest. :smt003

And yes, Craig and Linelle are the judges; already spoke with him about the contest and judging. This way he doesnt have to worry about dinner for Friday.  Howard (Hojoman) will also be the 3rd judge; he's staying on my campsite, so I can bribe his vote  :smt044.

I thought about make it only ribs, but I wanted to make it where folks were confortable cooking with what meat they prefer; and also wanted to give our Hosts (Craig & Linelle) a variety of food to dine on.

I think you should make it just ribs....

What do you think Craig? You guys wanna dine on Ribs only or do you want a variety?

You're lucky I'm going to be out of town that weekend!   :smt013  DUDE, you're going to be at Albion a week early?

WTH??? Was waiting for you to respond; but didnt want this type. Sorry youre gonna miss out on Albion bro; but glad I'm not going up against you (and your family) BBQ skills...

I might jump in with my "everything in the cupboard" recipe.  :smt003

No need; your also Judging..... {right buddie!  :smt044 :smt003

There should be an 'Iron Chef' round complete with a "mysery" item to BBQ.  THAT would be awesome!

Okay Mr. Mark Dacascos wannabe, we here to have fun, not drive us crazy! :smt044

I might just have to bring a BBQ and do up 3 types of BBQ chicken... (only thing I make Kinda well) We gonna do it for braggin' rights or $5 pot to pay winners Meat cost?

I figure something out by then, it's not like its only a month and a half out.... WAHOO! Albion here I come!!!! I havent been on the water since January!!!!!

.... and at the same time, feed our gracious hosts who will be judging the cook-off.

HEHEHE

:smt003 ... maybe they thought i was talking about "Campsite" host vs "Event" host... like I would feed them before Linelle (I have to fed you or you wont give me extra points for the fishing tourney  :smt044)
