Bummer 2 yaks came off a suv on 680

680 @ n main in walnut creek. driver of green tahoe/ suburban had just pulled a yellow and a white yak out of the lanes. he did not look happy. I had a patient on board my rug and could not stop to help

 

Bummer, hope they weren't on their way to GS8.

Bummer, hope all is ok. I was looking for kayaks this morning on my way to work on the 680. I am sure I will start to see more in the next few days.

That sucks... hope they weren't damaged too badly.  If it's a member, I hope they will post.  I'd like to know what part of the tie-downs failed.  I just started doubling my straps and using a bow line because of these kinds of accidents.

Be careful to not over tighten with those ratchet straps.

Snug not tight.  I go to where the Yak just starts to compress the foam on the cross bars
