Looks good. Can I suggest rounding out the corners on that board?

Looks Good.  Are you able to reach it to make adjustments to the FF/GPS?  (mark waypoints, adjust settings, etc)

Thanks FFTC!

Yes, that was one thing I made sure of. I can reach it just by slightly leaning forward.

I'd mount a beer coozie on there too.

Looks good Abel.  Did you mount to track using yakattack mightybolts?  I find them pretty nice but also pretty expensive. I'm working on a similar project to span some rails but for mounting something that is NOT a fishfinder on my Slayer.

Nice rigging.  Thanks for sharing Abel.

I did, and you're right, they are way to expensive! I thought of making my own but felt it wasn't worth the hassle...

Oh, and a little suggestion for those thinking of building a dash using marine board like I did. Use 1/2" or thicker. I used 3/8" and it flexes under the weight of the FF.

I've learned recently that 1/4 or 5/16 toilet bolts work for track as well. Problem is they only come in 2.5" length so you need to cut them down.

Oh wow!

I just looked those up. I can definitely imagine those doing the job... I wouldn't mind a little cutting to save a few bucks.

did you get starboard at TAP? I ended up buying hardwood for my mount that I'm working on instead of starboard because I was worried about the flex and what m mounting is heavier with a lot more stress.

I did. Paid 30something for a 35''x18'' piece of 3/8'' starboard. That stuff aint cheap!!

The starboard may be fine for your application as long as you up the thickness. It's expensive, but it looks good and will last forever!!!
