It gets me out of bad weather, No problem handling 15 plus head knot winds and the current is going the opposite direction.  Last year I towed a buddy in who got tired under the same conditions.

They are great boats. I remember a few years back I was fishing the RTM tourney, I was just north of Fort Ross with Raydon. I was in a Necky13 and Ray was in a Revo I believe. The North wind really started to pickup along with some white caps. I just needed to float south a bit around the corner to the protected area of the fort, but Ray had to go all the way up to Timber. I really didn't know Ray very well and I hadn't any experience with Hobie at that time. So I asked him, "Hey it's getting kinda snotty you might want to leave soon." He just looked at me and smiled and said something like "Oh, I'll be OK". He should of added the word "rookie" to the end of that.

Rookie was right. We fished a bit more and the weather got worse and worse. Soon enough he says, "Well I guess it's time to go and weigh in". Sure enough, he points the Revos nose North and off he went, cutting into the wind and waves with ease. Right then I was like.... what! Who was that guy and man I need that boat!

Pedals are great for getting you out there and back if all goes well. You still need to have the ability to paddle  in as there is always the chance of the drive unit/rudder failing.

+1 on the must have paddle skills first. My newish drive broke twice out of SC. Rod came out of the fin. Red Locktite those suckers. fixed it once OTW with patience and pliers, and when it failed again, I was close enough to the harbor to paddle in

The Mirage Drive aside, how does the Revo paddle? Does it compare with paddle only yaks?
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

I remember my first time fishing at the ARW in my Sit In Raptor    I'd been fishing for a little over 2 hours in 15+ winds.    Most all  that showed up later, ( including the hobie guys )  headed back within less than 30 minutes... Because it was "too windy " !        All that is except for Nudling and ChuckE with their AI's

Some boats have higher exposure to windage.
Sometimes the fish isn't the only prize.

Really depends on what yak you're comparing it with.

When I was out at Stillwater Cove and had to paddle thru the kelp it's not a whole lot harder than most non-pedal yaks I've been on. The Revo tracks pretty well and pretty streamlined IMO.

Just as FishingAddict says, "I love my Revo 13".
