Military Fishing and Hunting Licenses

Question: I am in the U.S. Navy stationed at Camp Pendleton and want to hunt and fish while I am here. Do you have special licenses for active duty military? (Timothy T., Camp Pendleton)

Answer: Active duty military may purchase resident fishing and hunting licenses while stationed in California. We do not currently offer special military licenses.

This is one of the only states I've ever been in that do not offer some type of military hunting/fishing license at a reduced fee.  I wonder why that is?  I guess I should be thankful that I'm allowed to buy a resident license even though I maintain a South Carolina drivers license and residence status!

Because California is so broke it needs every penny it can get!!!
