Just wondering if any of you tried the Native Slayer and if so what were your impressions of the boat?

This last weekend was truly a Huge Success and I couldn't have done it without some major support, All the sponsors, and all of you who showed up last weekend to make BSS4 what it was. :groupwave

I want to specially thank Glenn/G-whiz for helping me out with the weigh-in, shirts, and raffle, Linda for the help with raffle tickets, Andy/Fishmaster1 for the help with the Raffle, Howard/Hojoman for the awesome pics, ceremony help, and much more. In addition to making the slam much more kooler, I want to also thank Ben/Guitarzan for the awesome StoneFish donations, the Brops, and for entertaining the kids with hula hoops, Pat/Ppickerell for those Awesome Plaques, Chris Warren for donating the knives, Old Fart/John for hooking my Family and everyone with his Bss4 homemade wine, Tony Novofish for creating the BSS4 Logo, Jim Mier/Rockfish, Erik Sowa/Abdiver, Jason Tanagon/Str8tfishin, My Family, and Lastly but not leastly my beautiful Girlfriend Christina for putting up with me and for her patience.

This last weekend was quite a new experience even for myself. Even the Steele Canyon Resort Staff had a Helluva Time and Amber said herself she's already looking forward to next year. I think we blew them away with our Awesome Group. :smt002 Thank you fellas for showing them we are who we say we are=A Top Notch Group! The Wx was pretty good and it made for a real interesting weekend at Berry. The fishing was not bad either and Tons of Bass were caught including Jedmo's Winning Biggest Bass, a 23in. Largy! Some Kokes were caught, but the trout and king salmon were pretty much a no show. :smt009 Next year, I want to see more lady anglers and one of you actually catch a fish! :smt002

I couldn't be much more Happier with the success and results of this tournament and the whole weekend. It was truly a Blast! Huge Congrats to Nixster, O2B, and Herb for those impressive finishes. Lets also not forget to Thank All of all our supporting sponsors for there support and donations. We are truly grateful and looking forward to there support in the future. Now, I could get some sleep! :smt044

Here's some pics of the weekend...

Thank You Ricci, Your Whole Family, and Sponsors...What a Great Event!!!  The BEST part of the weekend was catching up with old friends and meeting new ones!

For me it was a very laid back ...rather strange tourney. I really didn't feel the killer instinct that it takes to compete against such experienced Lake Berryessa anglers. I landed nine bass over 12" but only managed pictures of seven of my fish. Two of my bass (including a 19"+) managed to hop off the hawg trough before the camera clicked. No big deal at the time because according to the radio everyone was catching fish.

After the bass I trolled out to the island and back and didn't get a bite. On the way I watched Jedmo land his monster bass and thought ...yup everyone is catching fish...Big Fish!  With minutes to go I was still quite a ways out on the lake and thought I should run in and get in line but decided why bother ...everyone was catching fish..Big Fish! At one point I almost went straight to the boat ramp...skipping the weigh in.

Landing on the beach I hear the One Minute call over the radio and strolled up the hill to the check in...why hurry...everyone was catching fish...Big Fish!

While in line and editing my pictures I deleted one too many pictures...oops..only four fish to post...no big deal...everyone was catching fish...Big Fish.  Just as I was sitting down with Ricci I scrolled through my shots and and found the two missing pictures (my first two fish) hidden behind a few pictures of a stinky deer with a buzzard sitting on it.

Later in the day while Ricci was presenting the 4th through 7th places and not hearing my name I realized everyone had caught fish...Big Fish! When my name was called for second place I was totally shocked!

Thank You Again Ricci !!
