Congrats to Nick for 1st place and other winners as well. BIG thanks to Ricci, family, friends, & sponsors for putting on a great event, looking forward to next year already  :smt003. Great food and fun times for sure.

Thanks Ben for the awesome rockfish casting you donated that I won in the raffle, I'll display it proudly.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Super fun event - Ricci, you put a lot of work into it, and it showed. It was great talking to your GF and your little guy is adorable!

Fishmaster- SNAAAAP!
 :smt044
That was hysterical.

So great to put more names to faces this weekend!
Great time playing ukes Sat night - Tony, you rock! I need to practice big-time. You are a good teacher - we should totally get the group together and get some songs down.

I thought the weather was perfect - I will take rain any day over heat, LOL. The grounds were nice, although I wasn't so sure about the campground staff....couple of weird moments there, LOL.

Many thanks to Bio Bill and Yester for letting me fish with them. I was skunked, but learned a lot....I'm ready for next year!

We launched between 6:30 and 7am, and stayed out way past 1:15pm. Even my hubby headed back to shore after about two hours, but I was determined. I got a hit on my line, but that was it for the day.

At about 12:30 I figured there was no reason to rush back since I had no fish. My only concern was getting back to frost the carrot cake in time for the potluck, haha. But Bio Bill convinced me to stay out a while longer.

I feel like a real dork for winning the fabulous reel, hat, and hog trough thanks to a coin-toss. I would have much rather won it with a fish as big as Jedmo's!  :smt003

I was talking to Shawna, and being from Long Beach I thought it was cool that she came all the way up here to visit family and that she fished. Only three women anglers between Bunny, myself and Shawna? Yikes! We do need more women out there fishing (and well, us gals need to catch more fish too, LOL).

I plan on using my new reel on an extra rod I have at home - and gosh darn it, I am going to get out there as much as I can. I am going to start fishing my heart out, hehe!

Wish I could have made it to the post tournament pot luck/ festivities.   By the time I got my camp packed up and the kayak loaded it was 3:30 and I was zonked.
