Can we launch from anywhere and show up at the weigh in or does everybody need to launch from Ocean Cove?  I am assuming the latter, but some tourneys are the former.

Can we check in any earlier than 0800?  Will there be onsite reg Sat am?  What time will that start?

Looking forward to participating.

You can launch anywhere, but you need to check in at at the Ocean Cove Campground. We will be in group campsite #2, but I think last year we had the check in table at the ramp. The check in time is 8am (some folks are driving up from San Jose Saturday am!) You can check in any time after that, and fish wherever, it's a "scramble meet". If there's wind people dive at Ft. Ross usually.

Yes, you can register at the event, on the day of the event. Check in, registration etc. at 8am or earlier, maybe a little earlier if we are set up = but no guarantees there! You can definitely check in later than 8am...

I will try to post a schedule for the whole event.

thanks,
Jim Martin

Couple more things - in the angling divisions, the winners are the team with the 2 biggest fish. You can enter in the abalone division and one other division too. (I'm thinking of ab diving then shore angling.)

It's a team event (2-person teams) but if you can't find a teammate there may someone you can team with at the event..

Basic Schedule:
We have the group campsite 2 Friday night, when volunteers will show up early and get prepared. There is room for 10 cars/campsites, reserved for volunteers first, as available after that. Plenty of individual campsites at Ocean Cove too. Stop by and say hi.
We should have the check-in set up by 7:30 - for an 8am starting time. You can register/start late too.
Check-out by 1pm.
Fish Fry Lunch: 12:30-2pm
Weigh-in: 12:30-1:30pm
Announcement of Winners: 2pm
Raffle Drawings (inc. Ocean Kayak) 2:30 pm
Silent Auction Closes: 3pm

For those staying Saturday night, Chef Eugene Porter will give a demonstration on how to cook a whole fish.

Here's the poster and registration sheet (page 2) - If you fill the entry form out before arrival, that will save time.
