FreshKATS Clear Lake - Camping thread

So the location of the tournament has been decided upon and will be at the Edgewater Resort in Kelseyville.

There are several sites available and a total of 8 cabins available for our tournament weekend.  Edgewater was nice enough to give the group a 10% discount on all reservations just make sure you mention either NCKA or FreshKATS.

If there are any issues with the folks from Edgewater please bring your concerns to me so I can make sure that we get everything worked out and all parties walk away from this event happy as we are hoping to make this an annual event.

The Event HQ will be in Campsites 60 & 61 (Mike, Jim, & James will be in these sites)

Please post up your site numbers once you have registered.

Wish I could make this event as I love the lake and campground, but the date change doomed me.  Have fun all.

I've stayed in site 58 and liked it but 60 is just SUPERB!!!  Nothing like to paddling up to land and being at your site. 

Do they allow camping on boats?  Are any of the slips in the marina "guest slips"?  Planning on bringing the pontoon boat if possible as a support boat & hot dog vending.

There are some eccentric ladies working behind the office counter. At Yakhopper's last event there a couple of years ago, one of them called 9-1-1 to report a looming tsunami. It was very windy and there whitecaps on the water. 

Tried to reserve a site and pay Three day minimum~!?!? fri-sun??? They couldn't do it because so and so wasn't there I can't do friday...  James?!?!? What to do? They said would call me back.

Any word on the 3 night min? I just called and they are asking for 3 nights.

I just spoke to the owner and she told me that for the cabins it's a 2 night minimum and for the premium campsites it's a 3 night minimum to guarantee you a specific spot (these sites are usually a week reservation). The dark purple sites only have a 1 night minimum and if the premium sites are available when you get there you can upgrade and pay the difference.

I hope this clears up the confusion and if there are any other issues please let me know.

Was there are reason that you choose edge water? Just curious, I love the State Park, bathroom shower are clean, spaces are larger too. you can even camp next to the water for easy access, and its cheaper.

We chose this location for a couple of reason. One was that it is a nice location and it has cabins available for families who may not want to camp but want to be apart of the festivities. Another reason is they are allowing us to use the club house for our awards gathering and if it's I smoking hot day that will be a huge win for all of us. There is also a swimming pool, horse shoe pits, and a volleyball court.

None of the campsites at edgewater are very far from the water at all.

How much for the tournament entry fee?
Do we pay the 15.00 insurance for one tournament or will it be included on the fee?
and is this artificial lures only or live bait and/or night crawlers ok ?

All this info will be posted up soon on the event thread Luis. But last I've heard live bait is allowed.
