My friend called and said we might get to have a two day limit in possession this year. He said its being reviewed and possibly get approved for this year Salmon season. Anyone else hear or see the agenda for fish & Game.  I hope it does pass for this year so my trip to Moss Landing would allow me 4 Salmon for my trip.

That would definitely be nice for those of us landlocked in the valley.

I hope someone within the area can attend. I've been to a few like when Coastside members attended in Sacramento. Its worth commenting at the meeting. It was live so others could see the speech via a link. Finally this option was placed on the agenda for comment and possible approval after several years of asking. I'm hoping they allow us a 4 fish possession this year. Much more cost effective when you drive from the valley.

It would be a great bone to throw to the communities on the north central coast like shelter cove and fort bragg, etc. that are attractive salmon fishing destinations but have been hit by early rockfish closures.

I think the area was mostly hurt by the MLPA Closure along with what you mentioned. I don't Abalone hunt but some of the favorite spots were eliminated if my memory is correct.

It's a good idea but nobody adheres to the salmon possession limit anyways...and I haven't heard of DFW raiding somebody's freezer because they were in possession of more than 2 salmon. So it does seem like a minor concession to the coastal communities that depend on fishing tourists. And it could become a valid marketing campaign to attract more visitors. You know if I was a 6-pack operator in Shelter Cove I'd promote the idea of taking home 4 salmon instead of just 2!
Planning to send my comments via email this evening.

Since I live in the valley it would be much appreciated if I could bring back 4 Salmon from a two day trip.
