I got the Kokatat fleece uni suit for one reason, to keep the top and bottom of the fleece from leaving gaps ie. "Plumbers crack".  It is plenty warm by itself, but the base 3.0 Under armour as a first layer would really make it toasty.

Yup. Me too.  I hate kayaker's crack.

Does most wear this type of suit for most occasions or just the cooler day and while on the ocean. I see most have gone through several rendition of similar purchases from the farmer john suits to wet suits, to two piece clothes and so on. So to try to learn from you folks, many say to save your money and buy a quality dry suit. Just for reference, what will some of you wear at the lake Berryessa, and San Luis Fore bay fishing? Thanks

We still offer 15% off to NCKA members on brand new Super Nova Angler suits. This is our way of making it a little easier to be safe and comfortable on the big blue ( or rivers for that matter) we have some suits in stock and can order through KokAtat and have suits in a few days. The factory is located here in Nor Cal. As Scott mentioned all the suits have a lifetime warranty so one suit will last you forever. So what's your favorite fishing rod and reel combo worth? Spend the $500 and buy a dry suit. The cheapest insurance you can buy for cold water kayaking.

Last year's Forebay FishNChill was cold as f**k, so I wore my drysuit. The last time I was at berryessa it was 90 sumthin' degrees and I wore shorts and a t-shirt.

It all depends on the weather/conditions.

I always wear my drysuit on the ocean and that's where I do 90% of my fishing, but it was really nice weather for last year's Islander trip, so I bought a pair of kokatat pants.

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Was this the type you purchased Men's Hydrus 3L Tempest Pants along with their dry suit? I hate being cold especially my feet. What do you use while using your dry suit for your feet? Thanks

Wool socks and a pair of NRS neoprene booties. Don't walk in the dry suit or tempest pant socks, you'll were a hole in them in no time. Also always check your booties for rocks and sand.

Ok this sounds dumb...but how do you check to see what size your suit is? Can't find it listed antwhere on mine LOL! I think it's a XL but wanted to confirm. It fits a little big but I can wear layers underneath if I want...which is a plus. Kinda wish I got a Large though @ 6' 200lbs.

Should be a little tag or marking inside the suit. Around the waist or in one of the arms I think. Turn it inside out and look closely.
