I just picked up the baddest Trident angler 13 made. Thanks Carl. The T-13 is far and above all plastic fishing kayaks in its class. Compare specs with other boats. Then paddle one. You won't be disappointed.

I dig the color for sure, nice & bright.

I'll be shopping for a new kayak this year, and the T13 is on the short list.

The T-13 is far and above all plastic fishing kayaks in its class.

So we classify kayaks now?  Like cars?  What other kayaks are in the same class as the T-13?  I'm guessing not the Hobie Revo 13 since that'd blow it away.

Do the Ultras have the Rod Pod?  I find the rod pod to be a must have for surf launching/landing.

I'm talking paddling Ben. Not bicycling. 13-14 ft class SOT kayaks

Matt, the center hatch on the Ultra does not open up into the hull. At least, that's how they are sold. Some people install the OK rod tube which allows you to stash rods inside the hull. But I installed a 4" Beckson deck plate so that I can access the hull AND store rods, etc. I'll post some pics after testing is completed :-)
Sorry for threadjacking Craig!

Love the new T13 color. Do you know if there are any other changes for the Trident in 2014?

2014 Ocean boats will have moulded in center grabs. Like the ultras. You could cut out the inside of the hatch on the 4.7 and make the hull accessible. This color combo was a one time shot. Adventure Sports has two more of the same color variation.

Price is taken into account when classifying cars. So, it'd be like putting a Mercedes SLR in the same class as a Scion TC....both 2-door coupes with similar length. But one costs $230K while the other costs $18K, so they can't be in the same class!

After hobie-in around for a couple years, I busted out the t13 to paddle for Mooch at the memorial.  I remembered why I love that boat so much, its light and fast and paddles super smooth!  Is that a standard color craig or a cool blem?  Looks like an astropop!
