Salmon report:

My buddy in the Cove caught 4 salmon yesterday on his boat.  All salmon ere 23lbs or bigger with the biggest at 39.5" and 28lbs.  Three of the fish were caught on a mooching rod with 15lb test.   They were caught 60ft on the wire with a watermelon Apex or a Carmen Electra Apex south of the whistle in 100ft of water.

Kiet, Tony and I are going to get some gaper clams now.  Anyone with any good recipes or suggestions chime in.  We will be bringing them to the Cove to share with whoever want some.

See yall soon... :smt001

South as in tolo banks?

Definitely!  I don't surf - boogieboarding for sure, but the long period south swell in the forecast will bring some great surf from the ramp to east toward Dead Man's Creek.  There will be local surfers doing their thing.

I considered bringing the ww kayak, but that would require a trailer and I figured Id be worked from fishing anyway and Ill need that energy for the hike and dive.

Rob,  The best way to eat those gapers is raw with nori/rice and wasabi.
