Don't poop in the urinals! #spooner

LOL!

Blast from the past right there!

Seriously though...Jack has been super cool and accomodating to us the past several years...

Don't clean fish in the campground and don't get so drunk that you become a jerk.

A lot of the locals are super cool. Some of us now have good friends up there that we look forward to seeing every year.

Play nice and have fun!

Don't forget to be  helpful to others!  Help someone that looks like they need it (or at least offer).

Maybe its with landing, and pulling their yak out of the way of the tractor.  People can be really tired, worn out and need assistance after they land.  It's speed things up and can be really helpful to get a lift out of the way when you land. It can be hard to get up that hill afterwards too. With new guys it could be how to tie a new rig, select a lure, or where they should go fishing for different species.

Oh and yeah, no joking on the radio about things like the locals are having the cars towed...  :smt013

+1  :smt044

And please do not ask about size limits over the radio. Know your fishing regulations before you get on the water.

Sounds good, and I second what Al said about the towing. I believe he and FM1 were on the beach during some of this and told us there weren't any tow trucks but a few guys still paddled all the way back in!

That's correct...  We even spoke with the fire department when they came to check the scene on the beach.  They said we were doing an excellent job, and no one had complained to them.  We have to assume it was some boaters trying to screw with us on the radio.  Personally, I will not believe anyone that wont follow up a message without identifying their NCKA call sign too.

Try to keep the, ahem, adult baked goods out of the eye of children who might be tempted. Keeping the northeast corner of the campground as Amsterdam and the northwest corner as Disneyland seems to work well.

Crash, that has NEVER been an issue, and I wouldn't feel right if people thought that sort of thing has ever happened.  I believe once someone THOUGHT there were some adult baked goods laying around a particular campsite..... but they were regular baked goods.  :smt002

I hope that is correct. My request still stands.

Oh I do completely agree!  But please don't go around making it sound like something completely terrible has happened, when it hasn't.  A lot of the people that might be in possession of these or other "goodies" aren't stupid, and a lot of them have children of their own and wouldn't dream of letting something like that happen.

I'm going to miss GS8 but will be there for GS9!  Have an AWESOME time everyone!

I'm not sure if you're referring to me, but I'd like to speak up about my experience.

I heard about a particularly potent batch of brownies and we all had a chuckle about it's effects on a couple guys.  About a half an hour later my daughter walked up to an almost finished pan of pineapple upside down cake and looked like she wanted to eat it.  With the story of the brownies still fresh on my mind and in the dark not being able to see clearly what was in the tray she was reaching for, I rushed over to warn her about asking before taking food.

Looking back, it was silly of me to believe anyone would leave a tray of those brownies out in the open.

That was the extent of my experience.  Maya, my daughter, and I spent most of our time in and around this "northeast" corner and if we had the time to go back to a GS event, I would not hesitate in letting my kids play there again.

This whole brownie story is way over done.  I believe your talking about the ones I brought a couple of years ago.  I brought them to the southeast corner where the partying was going on and I advised the adults that I offered it too.  The tray was NEVER left unattended.  Those were weak compared to some cookies and peanut butter cups I have now that a friend made.  If I make more I will use his method and I will challenge anyone to eat a whole one. :smt003

I don't have kids, but I hang out with people that do and adults that don't partake and have kids too.  I never bring out stuff in front of their kids and sometimes even if the parent permits it.  Its just common sense to not even put yourself in a situation that could get you in trouble with the law. ex.
