Thank you all very much for the feedback, the video was great! I've decided not to take the chance towing the trailer since I've never driven the road. Glad I chimed in here. Called the Tides Inn and I'm on a waiting list. Will check into other options as well.  Thanks again - Ben

Beachcomber's a cool spot and conveniently located, Ben.  I've stayed there several times, mostly back in the 90's on family reunions - I have some great memories of partying with now departed kin there.  Prepare for Good Times - looking forward to meeting you.   :smt001

If you know how to drive a heavy load down hills you will be alright. Most people don't know how to pull heavy loads downhill. They will ride the brake the entire hill trying to keep the speed constantly slow. Better off running low gear, and when the speed starts to creep up, push brakes hard till you almost stop, then continue off the brake.

I did not bring my 26' trailer last year and Glenn had a good point, He said" isn't that the reason you purchased the trailer for" to use it. so I will take my sweet ass time and drive it to the cove this year.
I will be there from Thursday till Monday or Tuesday.

Aloha,
I would be stoked to come up, and need a sponsor. Are there any rules about fishing a tandem?

Thanks

Isao

Great question, Isao.  I will now make the rules for fishing a tandem:

- One person in a tandem is fine - score as usual;
- Two people in a tandem each score their own fish - helping each other land fish is fine, and taking each other's C&R pics is fine too.

Tandem could be the way to go!  Especially with the big salmon mojo you guys have!   :smt001

I look forward to meeting you two.

I have been looking forward to GS8 since I started my drive home from GS7 last year!! Now that I think of it that was the last time my yak touched the water. Pretty sure I can get the week off, just need to make sure I can get away from school. The GS events are the highlight of the year for me, hope to see everyone soon.

if you like Shelter Cove you should try Albion too, caution may create an addiction.
