I did not attend, regrettably, but I want to compliment Eric for putting on a good event. It sounds like it was a huge success for those who were there. It also sounds like it was a positive thing for the community of Shelter Cove too!

Thank you Eric for being a responsible event coordinator. A win, win! May GS live forever!

What an awesome weekend!!!!!!
It was great to meet such an awesome crew! Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Tourney day was a little rough for us, with am getting pretty sick right off the bat. She stuck through it for 5 hours though, and still landed a nice 28 inch ling  :smt003

Our OTW highlight of the weekend was sunday, when we brought 4 shaker salmon to the boat, and had a double hookup!!!! I measured the largest one, and it came out to just over 21". We were a little bummed that we didnt bring home any chrome, but it was great to know that we were doing something right.

Thank you Eric for a great event! We will be back for sure!!!

Aloha,

Isao

Racin Rob you are the man congratulations on the AOTD.  Many thanks to Eric and his family.  I did manage to land a 38" salmon on Sunday about a half mile past the green can.

What a special weekend! Thanks to Eric and everyone that worked so hard to put on the event. Congrats to Rob on the big win, and thanks to Bloodbath for sponsoring me.

I got skunked Friday and was convinced I was cursed. Day of the tournament I found a pack of A-Hulls who were gracious enough to let a bad luck B-Hull fish with them. After bitching and moaning about my poor luck (skills?), Jim, Al and Daniel got me on some fish :smt007 :smt008 Rod went bendo and to the surface came my first ever lingcod at 26" (took out my frustrations and bashed him good  :smt044) Thanks Al for taking pics and documenting the moment. Such a great event and amazing people. I'll be back for GS9!

So incredibly bummed I couldn't make it this year. This last year has been tough for me away from all my NCKA brothers and sisters I have made in the last couple of years. I'm in the last couple of months of school right now and my schedule wouldn't allow for GS8 or the upcoming Albion tirp. Glad everyone made it up and back safe and sound. I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

A thank you to everyone who posts up pics of the event, those of us who couldn't make it appreciate them more than you can imagine!!

It is impossible to describe the friendships, and connections you make through this site. Most people don't understand when you try to explain what NCKA is and what it is all about. All I know is these are some of the best people you can ever meet, and some of the best memories you can make!!

Back to reality :smt002, sitting at my desk daydreaming of GS8 :smt004. What a Great adventure. Long drive following the moon, pretending I was 40 yrs old instead of 57 and can jump off my truck  :smt011(DumbAss), Ma Ocean blessing us with great conditions, the fishing; letting a greenling slip out of my hands  :smt013(damn, that was species #4),but PB China 16.5" :smt003.  No 10" Ab but my first Scallop :smt044, , reacquainting with old friends and making some new :smt006, Great Food  and all the MerrymentandMayhem a group NCKA folks could dream up. Thanks to Danglin' for the WheelEz axle pin ( story next event),  THANKS to Eric and all of the folks who set up this event.
