OK Manta Ray on CL?

I have a feeling it isn't a well designed kayak otherwise we might see a few more of these. Looks kinda unstable for any load on it.

Agreed, and foot/leg space seems cramped and not to comfy...

17ft sounds whack in itself

28 inches wide this boat was. It didnt go out of production because it was worthless. Ocean Kayak just moving on. The original Prowler was discontinued. The Scupper Pro was discontinued. The Trident 15 was discontinued this year. Kayak Kevin Whitely navigated the entire Chesapeake Bay shoreline with one of these. History right there. Everyone is so concerned with stability that kayaking has lost itself. You fell off your bike a few times too didn't ya after Pops took the training wheels off. Right?

Looks Dope, and cheap too.

Hobie should experiment with those bow wings to knock the spray down on the AI!

I had never seen one before, but it has a lot of unique features...long & narrow w/low COG, strange fins on the bow, footpegs in the center of the footwells, and dual hatches.

Looks fast.  I see about 1 a year on cl.
