English.


6. Wal-Mart is the

more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and
keep in mind they did this in only fifteen
years.

period, 31 big supermarket chains sought
bankruptcy.


9. Wal-Mart now
sells more food than any other store in the
world.


10. Wal-Mart has approx
3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super
Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five
years ago.

billion different purchasing experiences will

You may think that I
am complaining, but I am really laying the
ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should
hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the
economy.

understood by all Americans. Democrats,
Republicans, EVERYONE!!

a.. The U.S.
Postal Service was established in 1775. You have
had 237 years to get it right and it is broke.



b.. Social Security was
established in 1935. You have had 77 years to
get it
right and it is broke.


c.. Fannie Mae was established in
1938. You have had 74 years to get it right

and it is broke.


d.. War
on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 48
years to get it right;
$1 trillion of our
money is confiscated each year and transferred
to "the
poor" and they only want
more.


e.. Medicare and
Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had
47 years to get it right and they are
broke.


f.. Freddie Mac was
established in 1970. You have had 42 years to
get it right
and it is
broke.


g.. The Department of
Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our
dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to
16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a
year and we import more oil than ever before.
You had 35 years to get it right and it is an
abysmal failure.


You have
FAILED in every "government service" you have
shoved down our
throats while overspending
our tax
dollars.
AND
YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED
WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

Maybe it will end up in the e-mails of some of
our "duly elected' (they never read anything)
and their staff will clue them in on how
Americans
feel.

have lost our minds to "Political Correctness"

last months we have provided aid to Haiti ,
Chile , Japan and Turkey ..And Pakistan
........previous home of Bin Laden. Literally,
BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!


Our retired
seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no
extra aid nor do they get any special
breaks--nadda beyond shopping
discounts...
 
AND
Congress wants to freeze Social Security
payments..
You do
know that Congress voted themselves a pay raise
for 2013??? Google this--it's
true!!!

I share your frustration with federal and state governments, but trust me we would be better if Costco like management run the government rather Walton family.

Walmart employees usually have lowest pay and a lot of part time so corporate could save on vacation and benefits. on another side is Costco - retail with "human face" to own employees: one of the best in industry pay and benefit policy as result ppl stay at Costco longer than in any other retailer.

I think whoever wrote it was trying to pick a company that was the opposite of the failure of the federal government. Any company with the power of the government would not work. Shrinking the government is the real solution.

Take a bit of a closer look at walmarts business practices, then tell me you want our gov run like that.

When Walmart opens in a small town all the mom and pop shops go out of business because of the incredibly cheep prices (and products) supplied by Walmart.  Everything is made in China with minimal labor laws and no EPA then shipped over to us to consume.  Then mom and pop can go to work making $8 an hour.

Walmart is what is ruining this country, not the other way around.

I'll agree our Government is anything but efficient but to suggest we should be run like Walmart is ??? 

I find it ironic that someone who supports small government would find a solution in a corporation like Walmart, a company that funnels all profit and jobs from Americans to the Chinese.  But hey they show a profit.

I didn't write it. I think the author was trying to make a rhetorical point. Walmart has its abuses, mostly because of its size. I don't think walmart should replace the government. Is anyone trying to say the government is doing fine and should add healthcare to its list of failures?

Seems like paragraph d says screw the orphans, homeless and elderly. Then the article complains that we can't help our poor. Pretty clear you don't care about the poor. This article isn't well stated at all. 

I think it is right on the money. Walmart has done phenominal work in capturing us, and providing products and services, at a price we like, at a cost they like. We can all stop shopping at walmart, quit spending our money there, but we dont. As a comedian, I see a lot of comedy in walmart, and that is priceless, coupled with the rolling back of prices, I can get a good deal, and a ten minute bit every time I go! Now as far as government goes, I hope they never change, because if they do, I have to re-write all those jokes......IJS.
