Found this on StripersOnline. It's a turkey hunting chair modded to fit an Outback.

Thanks for the link Salty, that looks perfect!  I just ran down to Sportsmans Warehouse and they had these exact seats in stock, I picked one up and will try this mod tomorrow.

And it doubles as a handy life raft! Must be a retired guy, waaay too much time on his hands.

Anybody here get this Browning Turkey chair setup on their Outback?  Ready to order one as I'm not happy with my Hobie seat.  Looks like it would be cheap enough to give it a try.

I picked it up but haven't tried it otw yet. It sits pretty high and a little further back than I'm comfortable with. I had a designer friend of mine take a look at it and he wanted to bend some of the metal to get it lower but we haven't had a chance yet. I'll post pix once I do.

If you read the thread on stripersonline you'll see that the guy did modify & cut the chair down some to lower it.

For $40 it's the deal of the century, it basically makes your Outback and mini-Pro Angler.  Have 3 trips on mine, don't even bring the stock seat with me anymore.  For ocean/river I will likely use the stock seat to keep the center of gravity down, but for flatwater this is totally the way to go.  I'll get a youtube video up one of these days with a how-to and comparison.  Just remember that you're body position will shift back about 4 inches or so, so getting to your rod holders/fishfinder/rudder control will be affected, but man it sure is comfy....8 hours straight, no problem anymore.

I heard that the Jackson chair can fit in the Outback.  There is a mod out there on one of the other forums.

I would wrap the legs of the chair with some pool noodle type of material. So to prevent the legs from digging into the hull.
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

If you end up cutting the legs and using the couplers you'll definitely want to wrap them to protect the boat.  I just used a few wraps of duct tape and some electrical tape to 'clean' it up a bit, works fine.
