Request for thoughts and prayers...

Woke up at 5am this morning with a text forwarded to me from my cousin via my Mom...

"No matter what you hear today know that Fred is OK. Helicopter shot down. One of his with his people. Many dead. Hasn't hit the news yet but it will".

Fred is her husband who is stationed in an assault helicopter batallion in Afghanistan...and he is also one of the nicest guys you could ever be lucky enough to meet...

Here is the news story and I really don't know if Fred was the sole survivor or if he was not on the Blackhawk...

Please keep the soldiers who died, Fred, and his entire batallion in your thoughts and prayers...

When I tucked Kenny into bed at night and we said prayers he would always pray that his Dad made it home safe...

Sorry to hear about this Jim.  I'm glad that Fred made it.

My thoughts go out to the friends and families that lost a loved one.  If only the world wasn't what it's become

Just said my prayers specifically for Fred but included the rest of the soldiers. Had to reinstate in my prayers Kenny's request that his dad go home safe.
