Sometimes killing fish is like masturbating...it's best not to talk about it in public.

Uh, but I already wear glasses... :smt044

My  vision is perfect.  I must  be doing it wrong  :-)

Just curious about you guys that play AOTY a lot ... how many of your fish are you actually measuring and taking photos of?  I mean, you really don't need to enter fish that are smaller than your current largest fish of a given species.

So let's say you catch and photo an 18" lmb.  You're not taking hawg trough pics of <18" lmb anymore, right?

Our AOTY format results in a lot less fish being handled than something like the Kayak Wars format in which you're taking pictures of every fish that meets the KW minimum size.

I think you are correct in your assumption Allen.
I try to shake off the small ones (no jo pun intended), not that I catch many fish at all though. :smt001

This is true.   Moreover, Compering in AOTY prevented me from taking pictures of some fish.  There were times when I hit a super hot bite bite with some decent bass or crappie . I didn't want to waste my time taking KW pictures and potentially miss a big AOTY fish, so I threw fish back without measuring them.

Before I head out, I take a look at what sizes I need to upgrade and only snap pics of those that will get me an upgrade. All others, I don't bother with the cam, unless it's going to contribute to a report.

My plan for 2014 is to carry an industrial stapler with me when fishing AOTY to make sure that mouth is SHUT!
Don't worry I'll also cary an angle cutter and pliers to remove the stapler before letting the trophy go.
