I am sorry to hear that some people have not received there promised goods.Of course we all think this was some poor mismanagement on Spike's part

But, I must say first and foremost that I send out my best Regards to Spike and his family that he has lost a loved one and that I wish his father a speedy recovery if that is the case that he had fallen and was injured.

, But shouldn't we also be giving our fellow brother condolences for his loss????  Alex

Alex,

Of course we should! We are all human here, and for God's sake, I work for a non-profit Hospice organization that deals with the business of death and mourning families daily. We have all lost people and having others to lean on when you need it is priceless. If anyone understands that empathy, it's me. It's why I have been kind the entire time(truly!), and why I let months go by and only started this post when I started to get ignored outright. If anything, it's an effective and kind way(no law enforcement) to put some pressure on those who need it to come through with what they say they are going to do. Otherwise, you shouldn't take people's money or you are stealing. It's not a Spike-bash. Honesty is all I needed; I would have never said a darn thing on this forum if I hadn't been led on and BS'd for two months. I can afford to lose the money and I have plenty of t-shirts; it's not about that.

If this post does have any value, it is:

1. Bad business deals like this can cause confusion with new NCKA members and give them a poor representation of what this forum is about, regardless if it is a NCKA event or not. This club is too awesome for it to be unfairly stained in that way.

2. I have received many private messages from those not wanting to post it publicly, telling me an experience with Spike that mirrors my own. This is a pattern.

3. Dennis Spike has a history of bad business, lying, and apologizing on this forum. Take this into consideration when making purchases from him.

Thanks for chiming in Spike and letting us know your intent. I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family and hope that things settle down for you soon.

PS: I'm sorry to hear about your loss, Yakhopper. You and Verna are in my thoughts, too.

Justin

I was in no way stating that i thought Spike's actions were excusable.
What i stated was that i i felt compassion for a guy that has had a huge loss.

I also have the same sentiment that other people have expressed and that is that he comes around and makes things right.

I too met him in Cambria and got the impression that he was a good guy and as we all know . Business transactions are always a different matter.
Good luck to all and i hope your matters are resolved. Alex
