Fish Junky joined me at the Sacramento Port today.  Novofish was going to join us but life just got in the way.  We’ll do it again Tony.  We launched at the Barge Canal and headed out looking for stripers but also salmon because of the recent reports.  Junky hooked up first with a live minnow but couldn’t convert.   Then it was my turn and I boated a small striper on a minnow.  Junky again hooked and lost a nice sized striper.   We tried trolling and drifting throughout the day at most of the usual places but only the one fish was boated.  While on the water we encountered another NCKA yakker……JohnnyOne. (I hope I got the handle right)  He was on the hunt as we were but didn’t score that we saw.  It was nice to meeting you Johnny.  Junky got called to work around noon so we called it a day.  Here’s a few photos for your approval….

We had 2 ships in port today.

Junky hooked up.

One hits the Hawg Trough.

JohnnyOne on the hunt.

Great report! It's got to be a weird feeling to paddle past those huge ships.

Hey Kokoloco. Nice report. Let me know when you're going out to the port again and I'll try to join you.
