That is a Sphinx Moth pupae, which come from Hornworm caterpillars!

It looks like a combo of a lot of things, none of which are good.
Wait around until it hatches then let us all know. 

It puts the lotion on its skin!!or it gets the hose again.

I think it takes a AA battery 

Put it on a 2/0 and see what bites

At least in my yard it's a cocoon of a tomato worm, the big green ones with the spike (horn) on the tail end.  Take care of it and it should hatch out in the spring. 

Did you grow any tomatos this year?
