yeah, the 3 miles is for non-cremation. Cremated remains need to be permitted and the permit declares where the scattering will be. 'least that is how it was a few years ago.

the government offices are closed.....no permits needed. 

If any of you are coming long distance, I can offer you a place to crash Saturday night.  I have a house in Martninez that is vacant.  Martinez to HMB is a little more than an hour.  Just let me know.  You will have to bring your own pad and bag. 

Permits will be a major issue,
When my father passed, we tried to honer his wishes and spread them under the I-5 bridge on the Klamath. After several months of govt. BS, decided to skip the "Rules" and Just Do It. Never had a complaint or question and that was 18 years ago.
Now with the Govt. on shut down, I can't even imagine what it would take to do it by the book.

Same here. Either heading down Saturday night or Sunday morning.

We're out from Ocean Cove Sunday too!  It's going to be an awesome gathering.  With so many people coming from so far and from so many places, I hope it starts past 9am

We'll have the tournament galley fired up for early exits Sunday am, breakfast burritos I think.  We'll surely need some chorizo por las crudas, I anticipate heavy toasting in the days and nights preceding.   Leaving Ocean Cove, I suggest going out Route One to Pepper Road to 101 south to HMB.

Anyone needing a refund under the circumstances should contact me asap.
