Mooch Memorial

Many of you have been asking.  What we can say is to save the date of Sun, Oct 13.  Targeting a celebration of Mooch's life at HMB, actual location TBD as there may be issues with the lot next to HMB Kayaks.  More information when we have it.  Thank you for your patience.

As a side note - there is a personal memorial service for Joel on Saturday.  Details may surface through different sources (i.e. Facebook); however, we ask that no one attend this event.  Due to the sheer numbers of our membership, we would like to let the family and close non-ncka friends have this time to themselves.

Instead, as Polepole stated, Sunday will be our time to further honor Joel's memory in our own special NCKA style.  As details are firmed up, we will update this first post.

Updates - plan for 13oct2013:

The tribute will starts with a paddle out on the morning at HMB.
The paddle will conclude with the scattering of Joel's ashes near the green can at roughly 11am.

Due to construction at the HMB kayak area, the post-paddle gathering (and of course potluck) will be held at:
American Legion Hall
470 Capistrano Rd
Princeton Harbor, CA 94019

Oh man, I am so sorry that we will not be able to attend on this day. I'll be in Arizona and not home until the following weekend. If I could change my plans I would. I'll be thinking of all of you during this very special time...
