I need help!!!

   I need to fix A big ass hole in my prowler thirteen and one of my so called buddies been saying he would help me for A year or so but hasn't come thru. Not gonna mention any names sin. . Anyway I have the plastic and the welder just don't know how to do it. The hole was made from dragging my yak. I could stick my finger in it. .. Anyone... Bueller Bueller Will add A pick after lunch.

You know I don't know how to do stuff like that...hope someone helps you out soon buddy!

I don't remember offering to help, but that sounds like something I'd say...
Never done it before but it looks easy. Especially for someone who builds trailer-hitch picnic tables outta rebar & scrap metal!
I bet someone here has a link to a youtube video showing how it's done.

I've always wanted to "try" it but don't have the balls to try it on someone elses kayak for the first time.

I dont know what made me do that, i guess I was channeling my inner andy.  If i remember properly its a quarter size hole in the drag strip area of the p13 (its the green one right?).  but the hole isn't the only problem.  The whole drag strip area is super thin now since back then the OKs didn't have the removable drag strip that they have now.  so the whole drag section would need to be welded over and reinforced.  i'm sure andy could do it pretty easily, i'd offer to do it but it would be fugly as heck.

I will post A pic when I get home. Bad design on the earlier models. The vid made it look easy, I just have A problem cutting the bottom of my kayak larger than the hole. Do we have any Ocean Kayak reps in NCKA? 

fuzz did a good job on his.....he may even have some extra pieces of plastic to seal the hole....get hold of him

I tried to repair a similiarly damaged yak years back.  I was having a hard time figuring how to weld or patch it, and I ended up deciding that the best repair would be a sandwich with either hard plastic or stainless steel outside and inside the damaged area, goop in between, and secured with stainless nuts, bolts and washers.
