Rob,

Congratulations on earning your position to compete with Team USA in the third annual Hobie Fishing Worlds Championship. Be prepared for the experience of a lifetime!  We have established a timeline of events so you may plan your travel accordingly. Please note that you must arrive in Melbourne, Australia on October 28, 2013 prior to 2pm. We will meet up for a team dinner and lodge in Melbourne that night. The following morning, participants will take the team van to the tournament location. Hobie will provide the shuttle for team travel for the event. The shuttle will depart Melbourne at 7am October 29th.

Be prepared for Australia’s feisty black bream… (a two to four pound wrecking ball that is the country’s top tournament species). Light gear with 6lb braid, and a 4lb fluorocarbon leader might just be the ticket needed to tame these pint-sized beasts!

All competitors will be competing from identically rigged Hobie Pro Anglers with Power Pole Micros, Lowrance Electronics and Ram mounting gear.

HFW3 Travel- October- 26- Nov. 4 2013
October 26, Depart US
October 26, Depart US
October 28, Arrive Melbourne, prior to 2pm

November 1, Marlo Navigation Day
November 2, Day2 HFW, Day 1 Grand Final
November 3, Day 3 HFW, Day 2 Grand Final

November 4, Depart for US after 2pm.

I have a little bit of time to give them my final confirmation.  The $$ part will be a hurdle, but I should be able to figure something out.  Lodging is only $40/day + $25/day for food. :smt001

Should we start another thread & see if other people would be willing to help chip in to cover your airplane ticket & make sure you can go?  I will help with some $$.
