I need to get the passport thing done.  I lost mine like 4 years ago but it was fairly new.  I still have the old one which I imagine has the same numbers on it.

They don't have the same numbers.
The only good the old one will do you is that you can use it instead of a birth certificate when you apply for a new one.
If you cannot find your most recent passport you will need to apply for a new one, or forget about getting to Aussie Land.
