What's up NCKA? I'm Chris, I'm a NWKA newish guy. I got my Outback in February and I've been fishing hard ever since. I'm new to the kayak scene but not new to fishing...I'm stoked for salmon season this year! I caught my first kayak Chinook yesterday...just a little guy but it filleted up nicely.
Speaking of salmon, I have watched a ton of Abking's (LoletaEric?)YouTube videos and I have to say...you guys have an amazing fishery down there! I read a comment on one of his videos where the guy said he's caught so many fish out of _________ that he's bored of it! I wish I had that problem, though I don't think I could  ever get bored with catching kings. They are my favorite fish by far!
It's a little early for the kings here but another couple of weeks and it should be in full swing.
Anyway, I just thought it made sense to join this crowd and snoop on your salmon fisheries.  :smt003
And I'm really trying to make next year's Gimme Shelter...I just have to play my cards right!

Welcome Chris.

Did I meet you at ORC?
Rather than starting a new post and looking totally lame I decided I would just revive this one. I can't believe I haven't been on here since August!
There is a good chance you met me at ORC. I was in attendance. I was in a blue Outback haha. I don't think that narrows it down.
Anyway, think of this as a re-intro. I'm working on the logistics of heading down for GS8. I'll be bringing two buddies with me. It just looks like such a blast...one of my goals for 2014 is to hit as many tourneys as I can. I'm looking forward to it!

I'm putting more effort into making it to this one. Having two other guys to help with gas makes the trip more doable. We have been talking about what it's going to take to get down there. I've had a couple nwka guys offer to sponsor me :) I'm getting excited...If you see a sudden spike in the views on your YouTube channel...it's probably my fault. I'm trying to absorb as much Intel on the scene as possible.

Smart man.   :smt004

That was a wild GWS encounter you had!  I thought you would've had the video running after watching my stuff!   :smt005 :smt002  I'm glad you're OK.

Let me know if you need more info for the GS run - I'll look for your entry in the mail.   :smt001

I wish I would have gotten a selfie with that shark behind me.
I will certainly have questions! I'll be in touch as things get figured out.

It can't be THAT far of a drive--Oregon is only 300 miles long, north to south! I think it's about 350 miles from Monterey and I'm not even close to the longest distance (Bakersfield is 500 miles away?). So, know that you're not alone!
I don't want to threadjack too much, but do you have a link to your GWS experience?
