What time is check out from campsite? Reason I ask is we will be staying only Saturday night. Will we have to break camp and move cars before we start grabbing Sunday morning?
Their website says 12:00 pm. Check in is 2:00 PM.

I am day use only so I don't have too much of my own stuff to deal with. If you need a hand count me in. -Amos

I have an emergency and have to cancel.  I have a site reserved for Sat and Sun if anyone can use it.  I m not sure of the #, but they told me just to check in and they would give me the site number.   I'm bummed I can't make this.  PM me and I will give you the receipt .  The cost is 70.00.

So how is the weather forecast looking. This will be my first time on the ocean so I don't know anything about how the forecast translates to conditions on the water. Is it looking like a decent chance for the conditions to be manageable for newbies? Thanks

I will be off to work soon, and I just wanted to leave a few reminders:

1) the day use area will open at sunrise, around 7:30, day use parking is on a first come first serve basis.
2) it is a potluck lunch on Sunday, bring a dish to share. Try and bring reusable plates and utensils.
3) Raffle tickets are $1 each and all proceeds go to www.DYF.org, please bring exact change for tickets.
4) Look over the rules and schedule on the first page one more time before leaving.
5) Hoodies $40 and shirts $20 are still available, please bring exact amount. Availability limited.
6) You do not have to crab to participate in this event, going on the water is up to you.

If you have any questions please send me a PM or come by and visit me at site 102, starting Friday evening.

On Tourny day, weather conditions are gonna be as good as its ever gonna get for a January; there may be some rollers at the beach, so just your launch/landings.... but wind will be down, which will cut down on the wind chop.

They are predicting waves rising to 40' at Mavericks as the long period waves go up Mavericks Shoal by Pacifica.

True; but just because they do, doesn't mean you will get those kinds of swells everywhere. The surfing spot right next to Pillar Point Harbor is only expect to be 8.5' by 18sec.....  Doran Park/Bodega Bay is only expect to peak at 10' x20sec today; then drop to 7'x17sec on Tourney day.

Lastly, for those camping, if you plan arrive early, you do not have to wait for the 2pm Check-in; you can arrive as early as the gates are open for that day, you just might not be able to use your campsite if someone is still occupying it. But if its vacant, slide on it! If it is, just go to the Day Use parking (you've already paid for the day) until your site becomes available or 2pm; which ever comes first.  If the person at the gate tells you that you can check into your site until 2pm, let the know you are going to the day use area until then. I do this all the time; I hate to waste half the day......

Will do! But maybe now you should ask Alfredo is he wants to change his campsite #90 with your campsite #112; that way you'll have your 2 A-Hull sites next to each other.... just a thought....

don't you jsut love it when a water line breaks right before you're going out of town?  :smt013 :smt013 :smt013 delayed replacing sink water spiget line before I leave....AAARRRRGGGG!!!

It's gonna be great- I was there last night at 3PM to sunset. The surf was huge and impressive! The weather however is PERFECT and the wind is low. At sunset the surf reduced to almost nothing. Very doable! Basically, when I got there last night I realized it doesn't get any better at Doran. Can't wait!
