Great date night restaurant in Monterey area?

I'm sure you will get some great suggestions from guys around Mbay.  Only good one I can think of is Sapparos, but I haven't eaten many places there.  Sara and I like to walk the wharf and try out a dozen chowders till we find one that we like, then get it to go and sit out on the wharf.   

Sardine Factory. Very romantic, great wine list and food. Are you going to the Historics?

downside is that it is on the course, so not much to do afterward within walking distance, other than shooting for a hole in one on the 18th, if you know what I mean.

This is our Go to place in Monterey... Have fun!!! We do lunch/dinner then Walk and shop after lunch/dinner and leave the car in their lot (mid week) and go back for dessert when we've made room for it after the huge servings there

Restaurant 1833, Sardine Factory, Fish Hopper, Chart House, Fisherman's Grotto, Montrio, Abolonettis, Sand Bar & Grille, Passionfish, Schooners, Crystal Fish.....depends what you wanna eat and where, Aaron. Let me know if you need more ideas

The Fish Hopper is our favorite restaurants for lunch or dinner in Monterey.  I think they make the best chowder.

Ain't that the truth!!!!! Best fish and chips are at the little english pub in the parking lot near fisherman's wharf. Can't remember the name

Fish Hopper, Fisherman's Grotto, Bubba Gumps and one or two others are owned by the Shake family. Same clam chowder which is excellent. The first two have great views, although noise can be  factor

chart house is right on the water, run dim lights and is super romantic.  Sardine factory has better food but not the on the water vibe.  Bubba Gump is kind of loud and fried if you know what I mean so if your girl is like that, great place.

on lovers point is a newer restaurant called the Beach House.  Used to be the old bath house and was pretty nice.  Great place to take a walk before or after your meal.

also, lemme know if you need guest passes to the MBAquarium.  save you $60+

There's a liquor store/taqueria combo right across the road from MBK. Can walk over right after you get off the water.
